Fix the domain redirect

CriticalWP Engine User Portal + WordPress admin → Settings → General

Every version of primaverapreschool.com, http and https, www and non-www, 301-redirects to a WP Engine system URL whose robots.txt disallows every crawler. The root cause: WordPress's own Site Address and Home URL, plus the homepage's canonical tag, are set to that internal hostname instead of the real domain. Fixing this one setting fixes the redirect, the canonical tag, and the crawler block together.

  • In the WP Engine User Portal, open the install (nicknamed "pva1") → Domains, add primaverapreschool.com, and set it as the primary production domain. Confirm the SSL certificate covers it.
  • In WordPress admin → Settings → General, change "WordPress Address (URL)" and "Site Address (URL)" to https://primaverapreschool.com. If these are hardcoded as WP_HOME / WP_SITEURL in wp-config.php, edit them there instead, those override the admin screen.
  • Check the WP Engine Domains tab for a manual redirect rule sending the real domain to the install URL. Remove it if present, that rule is the literal source of the 301.
  • Purge the WP Engine cache after saving, then verify: the real domain should return 200, not 301.

  • Add secondary categories: Day Care Center, Child Care Agency, Summer Camp, After School Program, alongside the existing Preschool primary category.
  • Remove the incorrect "Located in: The Sedona Apartments" association, it isn't accurate and can confuse both parents and Google.
  • Update the website field to https://primaverapreschool.com once fix 01 is live, it currently points to the http:// version that redirects into the blocked chain.
  • Fill in attributes and amenities beyond the one currently checked (accessibility).

    Verify AI crawler access

    Today the only URL actually serving content carries User-agent: * / Disallow: /, blocking GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot exactly the same as Googlebot. This is WP Engine's default on internal system URLs, not a deliberate choice anyone made about AI visibility.

  • Once fix 01 is live, check the real domain's robots.txt fresh, it doesn't exist as a reachable file today.
  • Confirm it isn't carrying over a blanket disallow from a security plugin or host-level bot manager.
  • Leave GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot unblocked on purpose, being citable when a parent asks ChatGPT or Perplexity about Westchase preschools is upside with essentially no downside.

    Real quotes, not paraphrase: "We absolutely love the 24/7 access to the cameras, it gives us such peace of mind" (Kiddie Academy). "Their communication is top notch through their app" (Learning Experience). "The companion web app is great, daily updates and photos" (Amazing Explorers). Land of Learning, the one competitor with no evidence of a named platform, also has the lowest rating of the five, a real correlation in this sample, not proof of cause and effect on its own.

    A correction to this kit's own earlier draft: section 16 originally said Primavera doesn't evidence a parent app. That's not quite right, one real review mentions "App helps you observe the baby's day." Primavera almost certainly has some app already. The real gap is invisibility: 1 mention in 40 reviews against 4 to 5 everywhere else, and no evidence of a camera feature at all.

  • Find out what app is actually in use today before buying anything new, the fix may already be paid for and just unpromoted.
  • Check whether it includes photo updates or live video. Every competitor's strongest quotes are about seeing the child during the day, not just receiving text alerts.
  • Name it and promote it on the website, at tours, and in the review-ask, the same way "Academy Link" and "Bubbles and Friends" are branded, parents can't credit a tool they don't know exists.
